This is my new favorite Chula Vista eatery. This restaurant is right across the street from Chula Vista mall. Come over here and visit this small business instead of waiting in the long drive through line at Raising Cane's. There is a small parking lot next to this business and friendly staff who are here to serve their delicious food. I have never had a hard time finding parking or a table to sit at, and they even have a table reserved with a handicap sticker. I've dined here a few times as well as done take out. Both usually have quick service, even when they are a little busier. The quality is good. My personal favorite items are the shrimp katsu sando and pretty much all of the rice bowls. Their matcha green tea drinks are delicious as well. In addition to their bowls, sandwiches, tea and juices, they also serve regular soda cans in their fridge as well as take out onigiri (these may or may not be available depending on the time of day and if they sold out). The ambiance is casual and with little frills, but with some cute neko decor. I believe the cost of the items on the menu match the value of what you're getting. The plates are delicious AND there's a ton of food, especially in the Katsu plates that also have fries in addition to the meat and rice. In the future, I am excited to try more of the variety of sandwiches as well as their sushi boxes.

My family and I have loved coming here since they opened. This time around, I went back and tried a different item - grilled chicken rice bowl. And when I tell you the chicken was so well done! I absolutely loved it. I appreciate the variety in the menu despite it being a small spot. And every meal I've had over the years tastes so fresh and delicious. I decided to give their pandan coffee a try. I personally didn't like it much. It was basically coffee with pandan foam but I didn't feel like the pandan flavor mixed as well with the coffee. It wasn't bad but not something I'd try again. I don't mind though - I'm really here for the food! The service is always great and the interior design is so cute - it's nice to sit down and eat here.

Sandwiches are great, drinks are terrible. Ordered a mango and strawberry smoothie and it was pure ice and juice. Really not good at all.

The taro boba was the only drink without caffeine, but I have finally learned my lesson that I find all taro drinks overly sweet. They tend to taste very little like taro root and more on the artificial side. The boba were much too soft as well. The soft shell crab and egg sando was fine. The egg was nicely done; it was cooked in an omelette style and rolled up. The soft shell crab was medium sized but no longer crispy after being sandwiched between some unnecessary sauces. The bread was thick and too dry for my preference. However, I did enjoy the fruit sando which came with fruit flanked by a light, semi-sweet cream and soft bread.
